Tusk
Brosme Brosme
Tusk can be caught all year and large quantities can be found on the edge of the North Sea shelf, which gives tusk a rich flavor
and healthy flesh with a high vitamin and omega content. Tusk is a bit like Ling, not as long but chubbier, and can be up to
110cm long and are commonly found at a depth of 200-500 meters and often seek deep or hard areas.
Tusk often remain in one place and can weigh up to 15 kilograms.
Its flavor is characteristic of its deep surroundings, perhaps with a suggestion of lobster.
Cod
Gadus Morhua
Cod is the most common and economically important saltwater fish in Norway.
The Norwegian cod lives much of its life in the Barents sea, but each winter the cod mitigates to the Norwegian coast to spawn.
This mitigation contributes to the cod's distinctive firm, lean and tender flesh and gives it a nice flaky texture and a wonderful taste.
The cod can be found anywhere from the surface to 600 meters depths, and the main fishing season is January to April.
Cod can grow up to a maximum of 150 cm and 40 kg, and is rich in Proteins, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12 and Selenium.
Ling

Ling can be caught all year and are often found on the edge of the North Sea shelf or in the deep fjords along the coast, which gives ling a rich flavor and
healthy flesh with a high vitamin and omega content.
Ling is a long, narrow fish and can be up to 180cm long and weigh 35kg and are commonly found over a rocky bottom at a depth of 300-400 meters.
Saithe

Saithe fish can be caught all year and are found close to the coast and in fjords along the North Sea.
Saithe is one of Norway's most important commercial fish species. Saithe can be up to 120cm long and
weigh 20kg and are found at depths of up to 300 meters. Saithe migrate over a large area along the
Norwegian coast, from south to north, which gives saithe a rich flavor and healthy flesh, with a high
vitamin and omega content.
